Will Google Adsense approve blogs with plagiarised content?

Google Adsense is the biggest Publisher network available in the world. Many bloggers receive a decent income with the help of Google Adsense.

Now, let me answer the question. "No,  Adsense will simply reject your application."

In some cases, they may approve. That's becoming common because the review is becoming harder for even Google since people use content rewrites or tools like quillbot to escape from Plagiarism.

It's ok to have some content being used from other blogs/websites. But I do not recommend copying an entire article and publish it on your blog.

It can negatively affect your blog in the long run. Google may, at some point, detect your content is not original.

It may result in penalizing your blog on Google search.

What do you mean by Plagiarised content?

Content is simply copy-pasted from other websites without giving value to the user experience. Copied content will be easily detected by Google since it already has an extensive database of indexes from all the sites on the Internet.

In other words, we can say that any content which is not initially created by the writer and not sourcing the credits to anyone can be called plagiarised content.

It can be an entire article or some portion of the article.

What are the effects of Plagiarism in blogging?

Plagiarism in blogging seriously affect your Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Search engines like Google and Bing proactively check for duplicate contents and filter out the results based on that.

The above figure shows a warning about duplicate or plagiarised content on my blog. This happened when I moved some articles from my previous blog to the new one.

And if they found that your blog contains Plagiarism, your blog will be marked for duplicate contents.

Note: Google will never penalize your blog based on copy-pasted content. They will simply filter the duplicate content. And that is the main problem you will be facing when you publish plagiarized content on your blog.

Search engines will then start showing your website less. This can negatively impact your website traffic.

What are the different types of Plagiarism?

The common types of Plagiarism include direct, self, rewriting, and accidental.
  1. Direct Plagiarism is when you copy others' content directly without any modification to the content and publishing it directly without any changes. These can be easily detected by search engines and have a tremendous negative impact on your website.
  2. Self Plagiarism is a type of copywriting of your own content. This sometimes can cause duplicate content issues on your blog itself.
  3. Rewriting the content of others is the easiest way to write an article. Most bloggers who need more content in their blog or article sometime use this method to achieve this goal.
  4. Accidental Plagiarism comes across many bloggers. People research on a topic to write content. And in some cases, they may write the exact content in the article they have read. And they do not intend copywriting. These are called accidental Plagiarism.

How can I avoid Plagiarism in your blog?

You will need to source the content if you use copied content from another blog/website.

Credited or sourced content cannot be told as plagiarised one.

Another tip is to write an article only after researching about the topic you are writing. Without research, you will not get any ideas or content for your topic unless you are an expert in that.

When you start writing your own content, don't be afraid of grammar or spelling mistakes you are gonna make. It's quite natural to have these issues.

To solve these problems, I recommend you use plugins like Grammarly to avoid these kinds of issues in your writing.

Tips to Avoid Plagiarism while writing long articles

  1. Research before you writes for a topic. The better you read more articles, you will get more ideas and points to add to your article.
  2. Create an article like a story. Try to explain each essential points in your essay. Make it easy to read.
  3. Make a note before you start writing. Make sure to include all the points related to the topic you are writing in your article.
  4. Organize your content for the article.
  5. Explain with images. You get more content and ideas when you explain an image. This is a proven technique.
  6. Be confident to write original content that has value for the readers.

Why Adsense reject a plagiarised blog?

It is actually hard to detect if the content in a blog is copied. Since we need to find the original material from the Internet to know it.

Since Google already indexed Billions of webpages, this task is simple for them.

They reject plagiarised blog, they are promoting original content to the world.

They don't want to show duplicates even on their search results. They believe duplicate contents don't care about users, they are made for their own deeds.

Adsense reject plagiarised blog, and in some cases won't show ads on plagiarised content since it's not giving value to its users.

Adsense also rejects if there is prohibited content or content which gives no value to users.

Things to consider before you apply for Adsense.

You should meet some requirements to qualify for Adsense. These are simple things.

And I believe everyone could easily pass this with flying colors.

I have already written an article on the things you need to check before applying for Adsense. You can also refer to that article for more detailed information.

What are the steps for the fast approval of your blog?

  1. Write original quality content for your blog.
  2. Great theme with good navigation to all the essential pages.
  3. Add essential pages like Privacy & Disclaimer Policy, About page, and Contact Pages.
  4. Make sure nothing interrupts the user experience in your blog.
  5. Add sufficient blog posts before applying for Adsense.
  6. Apply with a Top-Level domain extension like .com, .org, .net etc.

Why should you choose Adsense over others?

When it comes to monetizing content for a blog, the first thing that comes to my mind is getting approved by Adsense.

Advertising the Blog with Google Adsense will be the last step after I create a blog with many articles.

I find managing all the online income under one single dashboard. In some cases it, not a good idea. Since there is a much higher chance when something broke, and your entire earnings will be at risk.

Conclusion

Do not ever apply for a blog with plagiarised content on Google Adsense. This is bad for long term success.

Even though Google will not penalize your blog, but will filter out the duplicate results. Writing original unique content can really help you in search results.

Always try to research the topic thoroughly before you start writing your content. It will help you reduce the amount of plagiarized content on your blog.

Keep it unique and fresh.
